Franklin Loan Center
View the workA mortgage lender with branches across several regions and loan officers who need to post something the day rates move. None of them are designers.
Every piece carries licensing numbers and disclosure copy. That is not a step at the end, it is a layout constraint. If the disclosure has nowhere to live in the composition, someone shrinks it to six point and the piece becomes a problem.
So I built to the constraint instead of around it. Fixed disclosure zone, fixed type hierarchy, one headline slot sized for the longest realistic line. Templates sit on top of that, so a Fed rate change becomes a post in twenty minutes instead of a request ticket.
Print worked the same way. Magazine and co-branded placements had to hold full compliance copy without reading like a legal notice, which mostly comes down to giving the fine print its own quiet corner.
Four years of this across social, print, email and merch. The measure was never how a piece looked on its own. It was whether a loan officer in a branch could grab one and use it without calling me.
